Providence Man Charged With Vandalism: Middletown Police

MIDDLETOWN, RI—Witnesses at the Burger King on West Main Road told police a customer threw water at an employee and broke a glass door on his way out. The store employees called police, gave a description of the man and made a complaint.

Joseph Silveira, 37, of Providence, was stopped on foot in the Walgreens parking lot, police said. He was charged with two misdemeanors: disorderly conduct and vandalism. Police took him to Newport Hospital to be checked out, and he was released with a summons.
