MIDDLETOWN, RI — Besides having some good seasons on the gridiron recently, Coach John Mackay of the St. George's School Dragons, has sent some of his boys on to play at the next level. Chief among them are Isaac McCray at Bryant University, Jon Lumley at Fordham University, Dave LaMountain at Denison of Ohio, and Omari Davis at Hobart.

McCray has made his mark for the Black and Gold Bulldogs already. Following in the footsteps of his older brother, record setter Rico, Isaac twice gained Rookie of the Week Honors in the Northeast Conference for his outstanding play. In a season cut short by illness he still managed to carry the pigskin 55 times for 287 yards and a 5.2 average. he also caught 11 passes for 160 yards and scored 3 TDs. He was the first true freshman in the history of the D1 program at BU to post a 100 yard rushing game.

Jonathan Lumley is having good success as a wide receiver at Fordham. As a freshman he started all 11 games and caught 19 passes for 263 yards and 3 TDs. This past fall he caught 5 passes for 86 yards in 2 games before sustaining a season ending injury. He was also named to the 2016 Patriot League Academic Honor Roll. The Rams hope he recovers in the off season and is back to productivity next fall.

Dave LaMountain from West Warwick played in all 10 games for Denison this past fall registering 9 tackles, six solo and blocking a kick. He figures to be more involved in Denison's future plans over the next three seasons.

Omari Davis, a fullback, was a member of the 2017 Hobart Statesmen football team. He is working hard to crack the starting lineup next fall.
