Two Reasons Middletown Needs New Candidates

Candidacy papers due June 22, 23 or 24 by 4pm. Opt out by July 13, but if you don't get them in you lose the option to be on the ballot!

Are you, or is someone you know, passionate about Middletown and wants to help make a difference? Please consider running for Town Council or School Committee.

Two Reasons Middletown Needs New Candidates: 1.To change the status quo: without new names on the ballot, voters will have no choice but to re-elect the same candidates. This will result in business-as-usual; and 2.New Council members mean new Council energy and perspective for more Council member effort, service, follow-up, and evidence-based decisions that would mean so much more for Middletown.

Raise the bar for Middletown: new Town Council and School Committee candidates are required: “Declaration of Candidacy” is due to Middletown Town Hall this Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday: June 22, 23 or 24 by 4pm (https://vote.sos.ri.gov/Voter/VoterCalendar).

Submitting this simple one-page form to Middletown Town Hall does not lock you in. It does give you time to consider putting your name on the ballot: you can withdraw by July 13th, but don’t miss your chance to have a part in shaping Middletown’s future.
