ACLU Sues Newport Grand For Sex Discrimination

NEWPORT, RI — The Rhode Island American Civil Liberties Union is helping a woman who feels she is the victim of sex discrimination. According to its webpage, the ACLU has filed a lawsuit against the Newport Grand on behalf of an employee. Paula Borrelli is a night manager at the casino. She says she is being paid $4,000 less than a man who is doing the same job. She asked the Newport Grand to bring her salary up to the same level, but nothing was done, the ACLU said.
