ACLU Sues Newport Grand For Sex Discrimination
An employee is claiming sex discrimination because a man she trained is earning more than she is.

NEWPORT, RI — The Rhode Island American Civil Liberties Union is helping a woman who feels she is the victim of sex discrimination. According to its webpage, the ACLU has filed a lawsuit against the Newport Grand on behalf of an employee. Paula Borrelli is a night manager at the casino. She says she is being paid $4,000 less than a man who is doing the same job. She asked the Newport Grand to bring her salary up to the same level, but nothing was done, the ACLU said. Also, the Casino hired a new male employee, required her to train him and is also paying him more than her salary. Here is a summary of the lawsuit.
