Drive-through COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic

East Bay Community Action Program to Hold COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic for Adolescents and Public on Saturday, June 19, 2021.

East Bay Community Action Program (EBCAP) is joining with the Newport School Department to offer a drive-through COVID-19 vaccine clinic on Saturday, June 19, in the parking lot of the Community College of Rhode Island’s campus at One John H. Chafee Blvd, in Newport, RI, from 8:00 to 11:00 a.m. EBCAP will be vaccinating people 12 years of age and older with the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine, which has been authorized by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for use in people 12 years of age and older.

“We are very happy to partner with the Newport School Department to get students as young as 12 vaccinated,” states Edward Boswell-Correa, Nurse Manager at East Bay Family Health Care. “Our drive-through clinic is a safe and efficient way to get your COVID-19 shot without ever leaving your car,” he adds. While the clinic is targeting adolescents, Boswell-Correa states that the clinic is open to the public and isn’t limited to youth or students of Newport Public Schools. Register for the vaccine clinic at: https://www.vaccinateri.org/appointment/en/reg/3215916063.
