Gas Prices Level Off Following Sudden Spike
A week after rising for the first time in months, gas prices have leveled off in Rhode Island over the past week.
Just a week after gas prices jumped seven cents per gallon, the first increase in the state since October 2018, prices have evened off. According to AAA Northeast, the average cost per gallon has stayed the same over the past week at $2.36.
Rhode Island's prices are six cents below that national average of $2.42, and a full 20 cents below that average cost per gallon this time last year of $2.56.
Across the state, gas prices range from a low of $2.23 to as much as $2.59, so shop around to find the best price.
