Latest RI Forecast: 4th July Weekend

The forecast calls for sunshine and temperatures in the high 70s on July 4th. But the whole weekend will not be sunny.

NEWPORT, RI — The sun will be shining for most of the holiday weekend, according to the National Weather Service in Taunton, Mass. But Saturday night, the forecast includes a chance of thunderstorms after 10 p.m. The same chance persists Sunday, which will mostly cloudy but with a chance of showers and thunderstorms. Monday, July, and Tuesday, July 4 should be the best days of the long weekend. Here is the forecast from the national weather service.
