Ma's Donuts Closes To Address Coronavirus Safety Concerns

The voluntary closure is expected to last about a week while the owners work to meet all safety requirements.

NEWPORT, RI — Popular Aquidneck Island donut shop Ma's Donuts and More will be closed for about a week, the owners of the business announced. The store is expected to reopen to the public in about a week.

The closure was announced Saturday.

"The health and wellbeing of our customers and employees is our main priority," the owners said in a post on Facebook. "Due to COVID-19, we will be closing our business until further notice."

During the closure, the owners will work with the Rhode Island Department of Health to ensure all COVID-19 safety regulations are met. The process is expected to last about a week.
