Missing French Bulldog of Actor Jesse James Found Safe In Newport

Newport Police rescued Coco a month after the "West Coast Choppers" actor reported her missing in Rhode Island.

NEWPORT, RI — Reality television actor Jesse James is headed back to Newport to retrieve his long-lost little buddy after the Newton Police Department found the French Bulldog a month after she had gone missing. James posted on his Instagram account Wednesday night that Coco was safe and sound and headed to Newport Animal Hospital.

"The amazing officers at Newport PD Found COCO!!" the post exclaimed.

James said that he was told Coco fell down a low basement window six feet into a narrow well of a vacant house in the neighborhood where he had been staying and could not get out. He said the dog had been missing for a month.

"I just got the call from Dispatcher Andrea Stout that the homeowner came back and found her inside," James posted. "Officer Mathew Sardinha is on the way to Newport Animal Hospital with her now. I'm just Blown Away. I've been praying so hard to find her."

James went on to thank everyone who had posted words of support when the dog was missing and all those who helped search for Coco in Newport.

"You guys made the difference!" he posted. "I am so thankful that you did this!! Booking my flight to Rhode Island Now to get my little Coco."

The Instagram post had 111,979 likes and 10,454 comments as of Thursday morning with the actor and Coco receiving many congratulations on the impending reunion as well.
