National Donut Day 2019: Where To Find Freebies In Rhode Island

June 7 is National Donut Day. Across the state, coffeeshops, bakeries and donut makers are celebrating with specials and, best of all, freebies. Here are some of the best places to score donuts across the state on Friday.

Dunkin Donuts

New England's go-to for year-round iced coffee will be giving away free classic donuts all day. All you need to do is buy a beverage of any size (which you were probably going to do on the way to work anyway).

Allie's Donuts

The South County landmark, like Dunkin' Donuts, is offering customers a free donut with any purchase. Leave yourself extra time if you plan on stopping here, since last year's lines stretched far into the parking lot.

Walmart

Every Walmart in America is offering customers one free glazed donut on Friday, no strings attached.

Cumberland Farms

You can get a free donut with the purchase of any dispensed drink Friday morning, but only until 10 a.m., so act fast!

New England Homemade Donuts

Both Portsmouth locations will be offering customers a free, homemade donut with any purchase. A second location recently opened on West Main Road.

Liberty Donuts

The Newport donut shop is offering buy one, get one free donuts on Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Providence is known for its gourmet donut shops, which are pulling out all the stops on Friday. Stores like PVDonuts and Knead Doughnuts aren't giving away the goods for free, but they are making up for it with extra-special offerings including a three-tier donut tower from PVDonuts and blackberry frosted from Knead. Hurry in before they sell out!
