Newport Folk Festival Tickets Go On Sale December 4

NEWPORT, RI — Tickets to the 2020 Newport Folk Festival go on sale next week. The perennially popular event is once again expected to sell out.

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. on Dec. 4. To ensure availability, would-be attendees are encouraged to be ready to purchase tickets as soon as they're available, as they could sell out quickly. Anyone who logs onto the purchase page before 10 a.m. will need to refresh to see the tickets when they become available. Tickets marked "unavailable" are not necessarily purchased, and could simply be in someone's cart, so keep refreshing.

Each household can purchase up to six tickets per day. Anyone who tries to buy more than the daily limit could be blocked from making the purchase or have their tickets cancelled without notice, the events' organizers said.

Single-day, two-day or three-day passes are available for the festival, which will run from July 31 through Aug. 2. Tickets for Friday, Saturday or Sunday only cost $90, $170 for two days or $210 for the entire weekend. Children ages two and under are free.
