Newport Offering Residents 'Dirt Cheap' Compost Bins

Just in time for Earth Week, the city is offering compost bins for $17.50 to the first 100 residents to sign up.

NEWPORT, RI — The City of Newport is offering compost bins "dirt cheap," just in time for Earth Week. The first 100 residents to sign up for a free composting webinar will be offered a special discount.

The webinar will be held at 7 p.m. April 28. Qualifying residents will be offered bins for just $17.50. Residents who sign up after the first 100 will be offered bins for $35, 410 less than the discounted rate from Rhode Island Resource Recovery.
