Newport RI July 4th Fireworks: 2018 Guide
Here is the information about the city's free fireworks display. The fireworks are noisy, so pets should be kept away in a safe place.

NEWPORT, RI – The weather is predicted to be nothing short of sizzling in Rhode Island. But by dusk, the air should be pleasant for a trip outside. Rhode Island has a slew of Independence Day celebrations. Even if your city or town isn't holding an event, there's certainly one nearby. Newport is holding its Independence Day fireworks display at 9:15 p.m. on July 4. The best place to see the show is along Newport Harbor facing west. (Ground zero is near Wellington Avenue and Washington Street.) The rain date is July 5 at 9:15 p.m. The city's fireworks show is free.
On July 1 and July 4, the America's Cup 12 meter yachts, US 16 Columbia and US 23 Heritage, leave Newport harbor at 7:45 p.m. for a 2-hour sunset sail. The fireworks are the finale, and the price starts at $169 per person.
