Michael V. Mulholland, 37, of Newport, was arrested at 10 p.m. in North Kingstown. Police there took him into custody on a Newport arrest warrant and turned him over to Newport police to be charged with Domestic Simple Assault or Battery and Domestic Disorderly Conduct. The charges stem from a complaint reported on May 24 at 7:04 p.m. According to the police narrative, a 38-year-old woman claimed he had assaulted her in the parking lot at Bridgeview Condominiums on Girard Avenue.
