Newport Police To Take Youngsters On Fishing Trip Aug. 23
The group is going to the Carolina Fish Hatchery. There's room for 25. Sign up deadline is Monday.

NEWPORT, RI — Newport Police are taking the youngsters age 9 t0 16 on another fishing expedition. This time, the destination is the Carolina Fish Hatchery for a freshwater fishing event hosted by the R.I. Department of Environmental Management. All fishing gear will be provided, and no prior fishing experience required. But the enrollment is limited to 25. The required forms must be filled out by parent or guardian prior to the child attending the event. Deadline is Monday Aug. 21. Contact Community Policing Ofc. When: Wednesday Aug. 23 from 2:45 p.m.
Where: Bus Transportation will depart the Pell School, 35 Dexter St. at 2:45 and will return at 7:45 p.m.
