Newport Winter Festival To Feature Mac And Cheese Throwdown
The third-annual Mac and Cheese S'MACkdown will be held at the Newport Marriott on February 22.
NEWPORT, RI — WinterFest is returning to Newport in February. From the 14 to the 23, experience food, music and fun at some of Newport's most popular venues.
This year will see the return of the third-annual Mac and Cheese S'MACkdown competition, featuring samples from a wide variety of restaurants. The event will be held at the Newport Marriott on America's Cup Boulevard on Feb. 22 from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Tickets cost $18 and are available to buy online. Attendees are encouraged to buy tickets in advance, as they are expected to sell out.
Last year, MainSail at the Newport Marriott took home first place, followed by Tavern in the Square in second. Localz Kitchen and Cocktails and Antonio's Pizza Newport tied for third.
