Newport Woman Pleads Guilty To Child Porn Charge
Karissa A. Cave, 23, admitted to soliciting and receiving a sexually explicit video featuring a toddler.
NEWPORT, RI — A 23-year-old Newport woman faces up to two decades in prison after she admitted in federal court to soliciting and receiving child pornography. Karissa A. Cave pleaded guilty to one charge of receipt of child pornography.
Cave was arrested in October alongside Samantha York, 31, also of Newport, who was charged with two counts of sexual exploitation of a minor and one count of distribution of child pornography.
In court, Cave said on Dec. 7, 2016, she asked for a video that depicted an adult engaged in a sex act with a toddler over Facebook messenger. After she received the video, Cave said she asked "is there any more?" and was sent a sexually explicit photo of young girls and boys.
