No School Wednesday At Rogers High, Career Center
Water had to be shut off at the high school Tuesday due to a water main break under the library, the school department said.

NEWPORT, RI—Rogers High and the Career and Technical Center will be closed Wednesday while workers install a temporary water service for use while a new water service for the entire campus is installed. A water main break under the library was discovered Monday night. The fire department and the City used pumps as a fix, but one of the pumps failed. The decision was made to shut off the water to avoid damage to the building. School was closed Tuesday. The school department posted a notice on its web page to say no one should report for school or work.
"We had a water main leak and have no water in the building. NO ONE SHOULD REPORT TO THE HIGH SCHOOL OR NACTC TODAY 10/30."
Classes are expected to resume Thursday.
