Obituary: Brian J. LaBonte, 56,

Brian J. LaBonte, 56, of Newport, died on Friday, September 23, 2016 at Heatherwood Nursing Center in Newport. Mr. LaBonte was born June 7, 1960 in Newport, RI, and was the son of the late Alphonso and Catherine (O'Connor) LaBonte.

Over the years, Brian worked with the James Maher Center and more recently with Looking Upwards, including jobs on the Newport Naval Station.

He was preceded in death by his brothers Michael LaBonte, and Kevin LaBonte.

He is survived by his sister in law, Marion LaBonte of Middletown, his cousins Louis Kampmeyer of Newport and Katherine Shorey of Middletown, and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside will be held on Friday, September 30 at 10:00am at Newport Memorial Park, Vaucluse Ave, Middletown.
