Potter League Puts Out Desperate Call For Treat Donations

The organization asked for donations of dog and cat treats from the public, which are used for training.

"We know all the dogs and cats would be very appreciative and would tell you as much if they had opposable thumbs. But they don't, so you're stuck with us," the organization said.

NEWPORT, RI — The dogs and cats of Middletown's Potter League for Animals are in a predicament: the organization is completely out of training treats. The organization put out a desperate call for donations from the public.

"Would you mind helping us out and donating some, please?" the organization said in a post on Facebook. "We know all the dogs and cats would be very appreciative and would tell you as much if they had opposable thumbs. But they don't, so you're stuck with us."

Donations can be dropped off in person or sent to the organization's facility at 87 Oliphant Lane. Check out the Potter League's Amazon Smile Wishlist for preferred items.
