Rhode Island Gas Prices Drop One Cent
The average cost per gallon in Rhode Island is now $2.74.
Gas prices dropped a penny this week, AAA Northeast said. The average price for a gallon of gas in Rhode Island is now $2.74.
Rhode Island's average price is fairly even with the national average, which is two cents higher at $2.76. This time last year, the average cost was thirteen cents higher at $2.87.
"Gasoline stocks remain robust amid a recent dip in demand, which could be one reason we are seeing pump prices stable or starting to roll back," said Diana Imondi, AAA Northeast Manager of Public Affairs & Traffic Safety. "It is too soon to know if this is a long-term trend, but it is certainly a welcome relief for motorists."
