Rhode Island Gas Prices Fall Another 3 Cents
The average cost per gallon in Rhode Island is now $2.63, according to AAA Northeast.
Rhode Island gas prices are continuing their slow decline as we head into the fall months. Over the past week, gas prices fell by an average of three cents per gallon, continuing to decline following a five-cent decrease the week before.
The average price per gallon in the state is now $2.63, a quarter lower than the average price this time last year, when it was $2.88. Rhode Island's average price is two cents higher than the national average, which is $2.61.
"Despite robust demand, gas prices continue to trend downward, which is good news for the drivers heading out for the long Labor Day weekend, taking end-of-summer vacations, and driving their college students back to campus," said Diana Imondi from AAA Northeast.
