Video: Rip Tide Danger & High Surf For Thursday
The beaches may be dangerous as Hurricane Chris goes by. According to the National Weather Service, expect high surf and rip tides.
NEWPORT, RI — On Wednesday evening, the Ocean Drive by Brenton Park was the place to see the waves. The water spilled over the sea wall, but some of the intrepid stayed. Many people drove by snapping pictures but didn't stop. Others took up positions on the rocks and watched the water surge around them. The beaches may be dangerous on Thursday, as Hurricane Chris goes by. According to the National Weather Service, expect high surf and rip tides.
