Seahawks Football Team Under Scrutiny: Salve Regina University
The school said a parent alerted them Friday about possible "conduct" problems on the team.

NEWPORT, RI—Salve Regina University has launched a school investigation into unspecified allegations about the college football team, the Seahawks. According to to Kristine Hendrickson, associate vice president of University Relations and chief communications officer, a parent made a complaint on Friday, Aug. 10. Here is the school's official statement.
On Friday, August 10, 2018, Salve Regina University received notification from a parent regarding potential conduct cases involving the football team.
The University has since launched an investigation into the matter.
Football-related activities will be supervised by professional staff from the student affairs area as the investigation continues.
The Newport Daily News reported that Hendrickson said the allegations were about "sexually inappropriate hazing" that happened earlier this week.
