'She Walks The Talk' | Newport Hero
We all know someone who's making a difference. Let's help share these amazing stories! Presented by Ring.

NEWPORT, RI — When times are tough, heroes emerge. We all know someone who's making a difference right now as we live through unprecedented and changing times.
Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these heroes making a difference in their communities. Together with Ring, we’re working to let all your neighbors know about these outstanding people and their stories.
This submission comes from Barbara Bessette, who nominated Pam Gilpin, a volunteer with Clean Ocean Access.

"Pam ... collects marine debris at Sachuest Beach in Middletown," Bessette said. "She does this without fail almost every day year around. She frequently goes to Brenton State Park and picks up cigarette butts and other litter ... Pam is a great example of somebody who ‘walks the talk’. She believes in keeping a low environmental footprint by the way she lives her life. She is an avid recycler, composer, and gardener. She works tirelessly to help keep our public beach and park [clean]."
Thank you for all you do, Pam!
