Three Teens At Training School: Newport Police
Three juveniles have been charged with first-degree robbery. The incident happened July 27 at 3:03 a.m. in front of the fire station.

NEWPORT, RI—Three teens have been charged with first-degree robbery in connection with an incident that happened July 27 at 3:03 a.m. in front of the fire station on West Marlborough Street. They were charged on Wednesday. Police took two of them to the Training School. The third was already there on unrelated charges. Their names are not being published because they are underage. Two are 16, and one is 15. They are all boys.
According to the police narrative, the three used an air gun to steal a victim's cell phone.
The 15-year-old was arrested at the police station at 12:20 p.m. Aug. 8. One 16-year-old also was arrested at the police station but at 2:40 p.m. Aug. 8. The third teen, 16, was charged at 9:46 pm at the training school.
