Veterans Day Event at Miantonomi Park
The park tower will be open in observance of Veterans Day.
This event recognizes the historical significance of the tower as a memorial to the Veterans of World War I according to a press release sent out by the city.
The tower will be open form 12:30 to 3:00pm on November 11th.
The 100-foot stone tower was completed in 1929 and was designed by William Kendal. The interior stone steps, lead to a narrow metal staircase that ascends to the top observation deck.
