Republican To Challenge Magaziner For Treasurer
Magaziner used the news to ask for campaign donations.
BARRINGTON, RI—State Treasurer Seth Magaziner. a Democrat, will have a Republican opponent in the general election. Michael Riley is running for the treasurer's post.
Magaziner introduced Riley as a "hedge fund manager" in a fund-raising e-mail to supporters on Wednesday afternoon. Riley has experience as a portfolio manager, according to the Providence Journal.
