U.S. Post Office — The post office will be closed all day today. There will be no mail delivery today.

Grocery Stores
- Stop & Shop on Bellevue and Connell Highway will be open and operate under regular hours.
Restaurants and Retail Stores
- Restaurants and stores will be open at their own discretion. Please call ahead.
Banks
- BankNewport (all branches) is closed.
- People’s Credit Union (all branches) is closed.
- Citizens Bank (all branches) is closed.
- NewportFed (all branches) is closed.Â
Transportation
Rhode Island Public Transit Authority The Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) will run a Sunday/Holiday service schedule on Monday, May 27, 2013, in observance of Memorial Day. The Sunday/Holiday schedule will apply to all regular fixed-route buses and trolleys. View the schedules here.Â

- All state offices are closed today, according to the Secretary of State's Office.
Federal Offices, Stock Market
- Most federal offices will not operate today. The stock market is also closed today.
Trash/Recycling: The landfill is closed on Monday due to the holiday - all collections will be delayed by one day following the holiday
