Fire Rips Through North Providence Home
Two firefighters and two residents were transported to the hospital late on Tuesday afternoon.

NORTH PROVIDENCE, RI — Four people were hospitalized with injuries after fire ripped through a North Providence home late Tuesday afternoon.
Firefighters responded to the 1 1/2-story home on Stella Drive around 4:30 p.m. Tuesday to find heavy fire through the roof. Firefighters evacuated the building amid reports the roof partially collapsed. Two adults, two juveniles and a dog escaped. The two adults were treated and taken to a hospital. The home was seriously damaged.
Two firefighters were also hurt. One was treated at the scene and the other was taken for evaluation. Officials said the fire appears to be accidental in nature.
