1. The Pawtucket Planning Commission on Tuesday approved a six-month extension for the Apex Companies to show progress on their long-stalled master plan for a major retail development on five hotly-contested downtown parcels. The proposal as it stands, first submitted in 2015, consists of little more than a schematic site plan. Commissioners said they want to see more. Lawyers for Apex blamed the city. It's the same site once eyed by the former Pawtucket Red Sox and now coveted by the Grebien administration as a potential extension of the ambitious Tidewater Landing project. (Patch)

2. Gov. Dan McKee, House Speaker K. Joseph Shekarchi, Senate President Dominick Ruggerio, and Attorney Gen. Peter Neronha plan a news conference Wednesday morning to announce a statewide body camera program for police. Sen. Jonathon Acosta (Central Falls, Pawtucket), an outspoken advocate for criminal justice reform, is expected to attend. (The Valley Breeze)

4. A local woman was shocked to win $60,000 with an instant game ticket last week. She bought the ticket at All in One on Pawtucket Avenue and told ABC6 she couldn’t believe her eyes.
