Man Arrested Following Pawtucket Stabbing Near McCoy Stadium

PAWTUCKET, RI — A man has been arrested and charged in connection with Wednesday morning's broad-daylight stabbing near McCoy Stadium.

Jan Carlos Arroyo-Diaz, 20, was arraigned in 6th District Court in Providence today and charged with assault with intent to commit felonies and with disorderly conduct, the Pawtucket Police Department announced. Bail was set at $10,000 with surety.

On July 7, police responded to the intersection of South Bend and Meadow streets, and they found a man suffering from multiple stab wounds. The victim was transported to the hospital. At around 11:30 p.m. that night, the suspect was taken into custody and later interviewed by Pawtucket police detectives, according to a news release from police.
