Man Stabbed Near McCoy Stadium In Pawtucket

Police responded Wednesday at around 11:15 a.m. and a man was taken to the hospital.

Update: Late Wednesday a man was arrested in connection with the stabbing.

PAWTUCKET, RI — A young man was stabbed Wednesday morning right near McCoy Stadium.

Pawtucket police at around 11:15 a.m. responded to the intersection of South Bend Street and Meadow Street for a report of a stabbing. They found a man, 20, with multiple stab wounds, Det. Sgt. Theodore Georgitsis said in a news release.

The man was taken to the hospital where he was listed in stable condition. Police did not release the mans’ name.
