Police Release Photos Of 3 Murder Suspects With Pawtucket Ties
Yazmin Rivera, Devonte Lewis, & Adauris Garcia allegedly killed a Providence man. Woonsocket and Cumberland also figure in the story.

PROVIDENCE, RI — The Providence Police Department today released booking photos of three teens charged with first-degree murder and conspiracy in the April 11 slaying of Isaias Bulus, who was shot to death as he sat inside a running car on Atlantic Avenue in Providence.
"Three individuals have been apprehended related to the homicide that occurred on Atlantic Avenue on April 12, 2021. Yazmin Rivera, age 19 of Cumberland, Adauris Garcia, age 19 of Woonsocket and Devonte Lewis, age 19 of Woonsocket have been arraigned and held at the ACI for the murder of Isaias Bulus, age 21," said Providence Police Major David Lapatin, a department spokesman, in a news release today.
The department's official statement contradicts certain information contained in an affidavit filed with the Sixth Division District Court by Providence Police Detective Theodore J. Michael, who investigated the case. The detective's affidavit states that Rivera lives in Pawtucket, and also states that the homicide occurred on the night of April 11, not April 12.

The detective's affidavit in support of three arrest warrants alleges that Rivera used the social media app Snapchat to lure Bulus to a meeting spot. Seconds after Bulus texted the words "jump in" to Rivera, he was shot by an unknown assailant who emerged from Rivera's Subaru and entered Bulus' parked BMW. The detective alleges that on the night of April 11, Garcia and Lewis drove Rivera's car from Pawtucket to Providence to shoot Bulus, and then drove the car back to Rivera's Pawtucket apartment where she was waiting. Police found Bulus slumped behind the wheel of a running car at around 2 a.m. on April 12.
