Video Shows Pawtucket Cop Before West Greenwich Shooting
Authorities say officer Daniel Dolan, while off-duty, shot a man in a car in the parking lot of Wicked Good Pizza.

PAWTUCKET, RI — On Wednesday evening in the parking lot of a West Greenwich pizza shop, Pawtucket Police Officer Daniel Dolan, then off-duty, "discharged his service firearm, resulting in injury to a member of the public," Attorney General Peter Neronha said Thursday.
Dolan was traveling home from a detail assignment in Pawtucket when he encountered a black Audi sedan occupied by a driver and two passengers on I-95, according to Neronha. Subsequently, in the parking lot of Wicked Good Pizza at 12 Nooseneck Hill Road in West Greenwich, Dolan
"attempted to detain the driver of the Audi" and shot his gun, injuring the car's driver, Neronha said.
Dolan has been placed on administrative leave, and investigators have revealed few details about the encounter. But now surveillance video first procured by ABC-6 WLNE-TV appears to show the officer moments before he shot his service weapon at a car, injuring the 18-year-old driver.

The pizza shop surveillance video shows a black sedan pulling into a parking lot followed by a white truck. The truck moves to block the car's progress, and a man emerges from the truck's driver-side door and approaches the car on foot as the car backs up and attempts to leave the scene. The man who emerges from the truck appears to be pointing an object at the car.
Thursday night a lawyer for the shooting victim told WJAR-TV that his client was not armed. Attorney James Howe of Wakefield told NBC 10 that he has been retained by the teen driver and his two passengers.
