Bike Lane To Close On Sakonnet Bridge For Construction: RITBA
The bike lane will be closed from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. from May 21 through May 25, the state Turnpike and Bridge Authority said.
TIVERTON, RI — The bike lane on the new Sakonnet River Bridge is shutting down temporarily for construction work, the state Turnpike and Bridge Authority said. Concrete repairs are underway to the bridge parapets, and starting May 21, the bike lane will be closed from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. The bike path will be closed every day through May 25 from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m.
However, the schedule will not affect weekends. Pedestrians and bicyclists may use the path on the May 19 and May 26 weekends.
