Because July 4 falls on a Sunday this year, most businesses and services are observing the holiday the following day, on Monday.

- Municipal, state, federal offices: Closed
- Mail: Post offices closed; express delivery only
- RIPTA: Regular weekday schedule
- Trash Collection: Tiverton's trash pickup will be delayed one day.
