Bye-Bye Old Sakonnet Bridge: Crews Remove Center Span Thursday
The center span of the old Sakonnet Bridge was lowered to a barge on Thursday. It will be floated to Fall River on Friday morning.
TIVERTON, RI—Construction workers on Thursday finished removing the center span of the Old Sakonnet Bridge and lowered it to a barge. The center span will be floated to Fall River, Mass., on Friday morning.
