Coastal Cleanup day collects trash, lobster pots and more

A crew collects litter on the jetty at Sakonnet Point during International Coastal Cleanup Day on Sept. 21, 2019 in Little Compton. Members of the Sogkonate Garden Club thank the 67 volunteers who helped in this effort. They collected over 1600 pounds of trash along Little Compton’s shores. In addition, Geoff Dennis collected many large items including a tv set. The club especially thanks Kristen Close who travelled again this year from VT to coordinate the Sakonnet Point area.
