Crash, Downed Wires Briefly Close Rte 177 In Tiverton
Firefighters closed the road until the downed wires could be cleared from the road.
TIVERTON, RI — A crash knocked down electrical wires on Route 177 in Tiverton on Monday night, briefly closing the road.
The crash happened between Main Road and Jilley Hill Road, the Tiverton Fire Department wrote on Facebook. Firefighters were forced to close the road until the crash scene and downed wires were cleared.
The road was reopened by 7:45 p.m.

Photos posted of the scene show a car on its side, well off the road. It is unknown if there were any injuries at this time.
