Early-Morning Crash Knocks Out Power In North Tiverton

The single-car crash on Stafford Road damaged a utility pole, knocking out power to the area.

TIVERTON, RI — A crash on Stafford Road Monday morning knocked out power to much of North Tiverton, according to the town's fire department.

The crash happened just before 9 a.m. A photo taken at the crash scene shows a black SUV, the only vehicle involved, that broke a utility pole at its base, partially knocking it over.

National Grid was called in, and electricity was restored to the area.
