TIVERTON-LITTLE COMPTON, RI — Rhode Island is in the midst of a heat wave, with feel-like temperatures in the triple digits and high humidity. A heat advisory is in place across the state, and an air quality alert was issued for Washington and Newport Counties Monday.
Because of the coronavirus pandemic, Little Compton's cooling centers are not open, according to Richard Petrin, the town's EMA director.
