Fall River Man Charged With DUI, Three Times Legal Limit

A Fall River, MA, man was charged with drunken driving after his car crashed while driving with a Blood Alcohol Count allegedly three times the legal limit. 

Kevin P. Theberge, 27, of 299 Field St. Apt. 1, was arrested on April 28 at 6:03 p.m. and charged with driving under the influence.

He was arrested after he apparently lost control of his green Subaru, which collided with a boulder on Judson Street.

Police found Theberge inside his car, which sustained heavy front-end damage. Police said Theberge displayed signs of alcohol intoxication and submitted to a field sobriety test, which he failed, and a preliminary Breathalyzer test.

He registered a .236 on the preliminary Breathalyzer and, at the station, he registered a .255 and .262. Police also confiscated less than an ounce of marijuana and cited him for possession.

Theberge was held overnight at Tiverton Police headquarters on Industrial Way and arraigned the following day in Second Division District Court.

Tiverton High School Student Charged With Disorderly Conduct

Daniel Morris, 18, of 635 Winwood Drive, Tiverton, was arrested on April 26 at 9:09 a.m. at Tiverton High School and charged with disorderly conduct on Friday, April 26, at 9:09 a.m.

Tiverton police arrested Morris on a warrant that was issued based on an April 11 incident at the high school where Morris allegedly caused a disturbance by allegedly yelling, screaming and making threats based on a relationship issue.

Morris was initially suspended by the high school and police later prepared a warrant. When Morris returned to the high school following his suspension, he was arrested by the school resource officer.

Tiverton Man Turns Himself in on Domestic Violence Charges

Russell S. Murray, 42, of 41 Bellview Ave., Tiverton, turned himself in at Tiverton police headquarters on April 27. He was wanted on a warrant following a domestic incident on April 25.

Police allege Murray grabbed a headset off of his wife, assaulting her and vandalizing the head phones.

Murray was arraigned in Second Division District Court the following Monday where he was released on $1,000 personal cognizance and ordered to have no contact with his wife.

Father Arrested For Allegedly Assaulting Daughter

Oscar Dias, 58, of 19 Mill St. Apt. 1, Tiverton, was arrested on April 17 at 9:15 p.m. and charged with domestic assault. Dias allegedly pushed his daughter in the garage hallway of his home during an argument.

No arraignment information was available at press time.

Tiverton Man, 22, Charged with Misdemeanor Larceny

Tyler Ferreira, 22, of 50 Willow St., Tiverton, was arrested on April 28 at 5:09 p.m. and charged with larceny of less than $1,500. Ferreira was arrested by East Providence Police on a Tiverton warrant.

Ferreira allegedly stole $97 from a local woman's purse on April 5 after she offered him a ride. Ferreira was arraigned in district court the following day. 

Little Compton Woman Charged With Leaving the Scene of an Accident

Tara M. Hawes, 23, of 147 Willow Ave., Little Compton, was arrested on April 28 at 5:56 p.m. and was charged with one count of leaving the scene of an accident, damage resulting, following at collision she was involved in about 40 minutes prior to her arrest.

It is alleged that Hawes rear-ended a car at a stop sign while she was traveling north on Main Road.

The collision caused the other car's bumper to become marked and displaced. Hawes told police she fled because she was scared.

Tiverton Man Picked Up on Domestic Charges

Chad Rose, 40, of 118 Myrtle Way, Tiverton, was arrested on April 28 at 8:54 p.m. and charged with domestic simple assault following an incident days earlier where he allegedly threw his girlfriend to the ground and dragged her out of the house by her feet.

Police issued a warrant for his arrest after the April 19 incident.
