Lotta Dough: Pizza Delivery Guy Gets $20K After Viral Video Shows Him Being Harassed Over $7 Tip
Jarrid Tansey's windfall happened after security camera footage at car dealership went viral.

A Massachusetts pizza delivery man shown on video being harassed by car dealership workers over a $7 tip has earned back that amount—times thousands.
A GoFundMe page for Jarrid Tansey raised over $19,000 and counting as of Friday morning.
Tansey, who works at Pizza Palace in North Dartmouth, was berated by workers at F&R Auto Sales in Westport Saturday. A video of the exchange went viral. Read the original article here.

Tansey had dropped off their food order—only to drive back a second time after they called back and demanded he return with their change. Tansey said he was told he could keep the change to begin with, but the workers disagreed in a decidedly unpleasant way.
“It just doesn’t make sense why you’d hand me a bill that you were just gonna have me drive back here to give you back anyway,” Tansey said, adding the whole situation was a “waste.”
The workers snapped. One shouted, “Get out the door before I put my foot up your (expletive).” She then made an obscene gesture.
Said another worker, “Get the (expletive) owner and the manager on the phone ... I want him fired.”
Unfortunately for the workers, the opposite happened.
The dealership owner, who was not there Saturday, fired the female worker shown in the video. This was after the dealership’s Yelp page was flooded with hundreds of negative reviews.
According to Fun107.com, the owner released a statement calling the whole thing ”embarrassing” and promised to offer Tansey a cash donation.
“We are currently straightening out matters,” the statement read.
Tansey could not be reached for comment Friday. No one could be reached at the dealership.
Amanda Rogers—a complete stranger who lives in the Chicago area—set up the GoFundMe page for Tansey. Nearly 2,000 people have donated money, including one man who gave the highest amount—$1,000.
“I was a waiter once,” the man wrote. “These people are horrible. Go to Mexico and have a Margarita on me.”
Rogers told Patch she was amazed at the response. She works in advertising now; before that she worked as a waitress to support herself.
“I know what it’s like to be a server,” she said. “I set (the fundraiser) up to show the people at the dealership are a minority and there are a ton of good people out there.”
Adam Willoughby, a Pizza Palace manager who was working Saturday during the incident, said he was heartened to see so many reach out and show their support. He said a manager from the dealership came to the pizza shop to apologize in person.
“I accepted his apology,” Willoughby said. “We don’t want anyone’s business to get hurt ... we just want to go back to business as usual.”
