Bluegrass lovers rejoice! Two bluegrass groups are performing at Sandywoods Center for the Arts, 43 Muse Way in Tiverton, this weekend.

Foot-Stomping Bluegrass

Riley Coyote is an old-time acoustic bluegrass group originally from Middleboro, MA, that will hit the Sandywoods stage at 8 p.m. on Friday.

The four-person group has played all across New England including Boston, Maine, Rhode Island, Cape Cod and more.

Riley Coyote consists of:

  • Joe Tummino— guitar
  • Jim Lough—mandolin
  • Joe Faria— stand-up base
  • Kristen Riley— fiddle

Tickets cost $12 in advance, $15 at the door and kids under 12 get in free. Call 401-241-7349 to reserve tickets.

Bluegrass With a Mix of Rock, Country, Americana

Another taste of bluegrass will make an appearance on Saturday with a performance by Four Bridges.

The four-person group plays original, traditional and contemporary bluegrass in addition to some rock covers, country tunes and Americana music.

Four Bridges consists of:

  • Greg Ferreira— mandolin, guitar, harmonica, vocals
  • Russell Hermansen— bass, vocals
  • Ben Marshall— banjo, guitar, fiddle, mandolin, vocals
  • Jeremy Place— mandolin, guitar, vocals

The group hits the stage at 8 p.m

Tickets cost $12 in advance, $15 at the door and kids under 12 get in free. Call 401-241-7349 to reserve tickets.

Weekly Open Mic Night

Sandywoods has recently changed open mic night from once a month to every Tuesday night from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.

The event is hosted by Gary Fish.

Admission is free but donations to the artists are appreciated.
