It may be Monday, but some people could be thinking about the weekend already. Here are some upcoming concerts to look forward to at Sandywoods Center for the Arts, 43 Muse Way in Tiverton.

A jazz musician who plays the guitar and sings about the sea will team up with a father-son duo on Friday.

Gary Fish and The Harrisons will rock the stage starting at 7 p.m.

Fish has been writing music about the sea and commercial fishing for 40 years. His songs include “Captain Whipple,” “Angel On A Wave,” and “The Flight of the Dolphins.”

Thatcher Harrison, a young guitarist, joins forces with his father Stan Harrison, an english professor, to create The Harrisons. The group performs cover music from Dave Brubeck, the Beatles, Duke Ellington and more.

Tickets are $10 at the door. Those who attend can bring their own beer and food.

Duo Harmonizes to Folk Songs

A folk duo from Shelburne, Nova Scotia will step to the stage at Sandywoods on Saturday.

Naming the Twins has a sound similar to Simon & Garfunkel, if Art was a girl, a bit like Peter and Paul & Mary.

Robbie Smith, the lead vocalist, and Kathleen Glauser, the harmonizer, will perform covers and some of their own original pieces starting at 7 p.m.

Naming The Twins’ latest album, “Drifters and Dreamers,” features original folk songs, distinctive harmonies and a diverse arrangement of acoustic instruments, according to Sandywoods.

The Third Annual Hurdy-Gurdy Palooza

Find out what the one-of-a-kind instrument, the Bosch Hurdy-Gurdy, sounds like at a performance on Sunday.

Steven Jobe and Alec K. Redfearn will play a large assortment of instruments, including the Bosch Hurdy-Gurdy, accordion, bassoon and saxophone.

Festivities will begin at 7:30 with an opening performance by Shamantic, a group featuring Jobe, Matt McLaren, Chris Sadlers and fiddler Brad Maloney.
