Latest RI Forecast: We're In The Deep Freeze Into Next Week

The sun is supposed to shine on Thursday, but it won't warm anything up. The high temperature is expected to hover around 15.

TIVERTON, RI — Maybe it will feel warmer in a week, even though the temperature next Wednesday is only supposed to rebound to 28 degrees. Of course, that's still freezing. But 28 is better than 15, 18, 19 and 23. Those numbers are the high temperatures the National Weather Service in Taunton, Mass., is predicting for this week. The lows are a lot worse. Tomorrow, even with sunny skies, the high is barely into the double digits. Plus, wind chills will make it feel more than minus 5. A Northwest wind will be blowing 10 to 14 mph, and gusts could pick up as high as 28 mph.
