Nanaquaket Pond Bridge Closing For Repairs
The bridge will be closed from August 26 through 30.
TIVERTON, RI — The bridge over Nanaquaket Pond will be closed for a week to allow for road work. From August 26 through 30, the bridge will be closed from Bridgeport Road to Highland Road along Route 77.
Minor repairs to the concrete are already underway. The Rhode Island Department of Transportation said the closure is needed to allow crews to pave and waterproof the deck of the bridge.
Drivers will be detoured along Nanaquaket Road to the east and Bulgarmarsh Road to the west.
