Pocasset Elementary Students Named Tiverton 'Police Chiefs'
Chief Lilliana Luis and Chief Anya Medbury celebrated the last day of school at the Tiverton Police Station.

TIVERTON, RI — For the first time, the Tiverton Police Department named two new chiefs in one day. On Monday, two students from nearby Pocasset Elementary School celebrated the last day of school at the police station as co-chiefs for the day.
Lilliana Luis and Anya Medbury toured the station, took photos at the chief's desk and were given gifts to kick off their summer vacation.
"We have had quite a few police chiefs but never two!" the department said. "Chief Luis and Chief Medbury want to wish everyone a safe and fun summer!"

Each "chief" had her named placed on the official desk nameplate for a photo.


The girls were brought to Dunkin' Donuts for a treat before they were sent home with footballs and frisbees to play with during their summer vacation.
