Tiverton Asks For Recount On Question 10: Board Of Elections

TIVERTON, RI—Tiverton voters will wait a little longer to learn the fate of the local ballot question about casino gambling revenues. The state board of elections has received 14 requests for recounts, according to Miguel J. Nunez, deputy director of elections. One of them is Tiverton's Question 10 about how casino gambling revenues may be spent. Voters rejected Question 10 but only by 21 votes.

The recounts are not automatic. The board will meet Thursday at 3 p.m. to review them.
